Hazy and amber-brown, the Geist Uncle Dunkel, a German-style dark wheat beer, is full-bodied and effervescent with a tasty flavour profile packed with bready malt character, hints of chocolate, caramel and nuttiness along with the yeast derived banana and clove creating the aroma. Mild wheat flavour with low hop bitterness.
Our Geist Uncle Dunkel is often mistaken for a stout – it is in fact a dark wheat beer! This beer is one of our favourite examples to use when we say that a craft beer’s colour or appearance is never an accurate indicator of style or booziness.
